Mike Odlum (centre) made a highly impressive guest appearance on bass and lead vocals for the songs Joey's on the Street Again and Diamond Smiles.

Mike played in the school band with Boomtown Rats Garry & Simon, before they formed The Boomtown Rats in 1976, and they have known each other since they were all in their early teens.
