We can confirm that Boomtown Rats guitarist Garry Roberts has played on some of the songs recorded for Bob Geldof's new solo album due to be released on the 7th of February 2011. We can't yet confirm which songs Garry played on as a large number of songs were recorded in total and not all made it onto the final track-listing. Garry recorded his parts during early 2010 in the studio belonging to Queen drummer Roger Taylor.
The 14 track album is titled 'How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell' - the title of an old book Bob found in a second-hand bookshop.
